Yachting Australia - Inshore Skipper Certificate

Prerequisites: AYF Competent Crew Certificate, 25 days on board a sailing vessel in commission, including 500 miles on tidal/estuary waters and 12 hours night watch. (NB: Provision is made by Yachting Australia for those with sufficient experience to qualify for the Inshore Certificate via a practical assessment, that includes practical & theoretical components. 4 Days $900.00 per person (inc GST)

This course again is fully hands on and you will build upon and develop the knowledge from competent crew certificate to enable you to skipper a yacht in inshore waters. You will experience all aspects of sailing, including preparing for sea, sail selection, engine and boat checks and passage planning. Emergency procedures, navigation and weather will also be covered.
